3. LAMBORGHINI CAME INTO EXISTENCE AS A CHALLENGE

Lamborghini is a direct competitor to Ferrari. Surprisingly, the credit for the existence of Lamborghini goes to Enzo Ferrari. Lamborghini was very successful in its agricultural vehicles business, at the same time that Enzo Ferrari founded his famous sports car brand.

Ferruccio was a big fan of sports cars and owned a Ferrari 250 GT. However, he faced some issues with the clutch of the car. To resolve the issue, Ferrari used agricultural clutches but Ferruccio did not like it, especially when it broke. He told Enzo about the problem and the two well-known automakers got into a scuffle.

Enzo responded by telling Ferruccio to focus on tractors instead of sports cars. However, Ferruccio Lamborghini always disagreed with motor racing.

The famous Italian engineer believed that these incidents were a waste of time and resources and refused to start a racing team. Since then this was a strict rule in the company. That said, in recent years, the company has had to rethink this strategy. Now, the company has a clear presence in the motor racing industry. But that doesn't always happen.
